PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To own, lead, direct and implement the organisational breakthrough strategy and operational plan for Divava Okavango Resort & Spa, contributing to the unique, unforgettable guest and customer experiences. The position will put more emphasis on fulfilling the brand promise, and creating amazing, exclusive, and value-driven customer and guest experiences.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Hospitality Management
- 5 years’ experience in a Senior Management role at a 5-star lodge operation.
- Profound understanding of the tourism and hospitality distribution channel, including route to market and experience in selling a value driven product.
- Strong leadership and people skills as well as stakeholder engagement skills
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Strategic Leadership: Formulate and execute operational strategies, budgets, and performance plans to achieve business goals and deliver on set outcomes.
- Brand & Culture Stewardship: Embed the O&L Persona into daily operations, ensuring service culture, guest interactions, and decision-making reflect the brand promise.
- Operational Excellence: Drive business efficiencies and profitability through driving effective efficiency ratios and initiatives, cost management, and innovative operational practices.
- Guest Experience & Quality: Champion customer experience and quality assurance standards, ensuring world-class service, culinary excellence, and top ratings on global review platforms.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with local communities, suppliers, and key partners to sustain long-term success.
- Risk, Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with risk management, operational controls, HACCP, health & safety standards, and maintain robust business continuity plans.
- People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, growth, and engagement through initiatives like Great Place to Work.
