PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To drive the O&L Culture and people strategy by coordinating Great Place to Work (GPTW) initiatives, onboarding, internal communications, recognition programs, Employment Equity (EE) reporting, data analytics, and engagement activities. The role aims to deliver a world-class employee experience, enhance the company brand, and contribute to O&L Leisure’s status as an Employer of Choice.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Employee Engagement, Organizational Development, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of cultural transformation and employee engagement best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Valid driver’s license.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the O&L Leisure Employee Engagement & Culture Strategy.
- Act as a custodian of the O&L Persona, ensuring alignment across organizational activities.
- Design and implement an annual communication & engagement plan based on company and Group Employee Engagement strategies.
- Conduct on-the-ground employee engagement activities to assess and enhance the employee experience.
- Organize and execute roadshows on Employer of Choice and Employee Engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate all logistical and administrative aspects of Culture & Employee Engagement initiatives.
- Draft and manage the distribution of formal internal communications, including Business/MD/Human Capital briefings.
- Develop, coordinate, and facilitate business communications, such as internal emails, Persona forums, and engagement initiatives.
- Source and compile content for an internal Opco newsletter.
- Provide engagement and culture content to Group EE for internal communications.
- Facilitate GPTW survey communication, ensuring Department Heads share results and gather employee feedback.
- Analyze survey results and provide insights for GPTW action plans & improvement initiatives.
- Track, manage, and report on GPTW action plans and progress.
- Develop and implement an effective onboarding journey and induction program.
- Drive Opco and Group recognition programs, including Persona Champion and Long Service Awards.
- Collaborate with Group Wellness to develop and implement Opco wellness plans.
- Support the coordination and execution of Group Employee Wellness initiatives.
- Track and report on engagement and culture activities, identifying areas for improvement.
