PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To performing mechanical repairs and maintenance work on all vehicles, equipment and implements to ensure maximum fleet availability to achieve the strategic initiatives and critical success factors of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- 3-year Diploma (N4) in Diesel Mechanics with a trade certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years’ mechanical repairs and maintenance experience.
- A Code BE Driver’s license will be an added advantage.
KEY ACOUNTABILITIES:
- Perform all electrical, general and mechanical repairs and maintenance work on all land, buildings, agricultural and dairy machines and implements.
- Receive job cards and book out parts and materials required to do the work daily.
- Be on standby for breakdowns after normal working hours, over weekends and on public holiday.
- Clean and store tools to prevent damages and losses.
- Clean the ablution facilities regularly to ensure good hygiene and cleaning routine is maintained.
- Wear the required PPE at all times and follow procedures and report safety incidents to the Team Leader and Manager immediately.
- Engage with and support the Team Leader and Manager to improve all standard operating procedures.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times and report non-compliance.
