Purpose of the Position:
The Public Area Cleaner is responsible for ensuring the pristine cleanliness of Mokuti Etosha's public areas, encompassing exteriors, lobby, restaurants, lounges, SPA, executive offices, public washrooms, garden areas, corridors, pathways, banquets, perimeter, heart of the house corridors, locker rooms, and staircases.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12 education
- 1 year experience as a public area cleaner in 4* or 5* luxury hotel/lodge environment
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and use of cleaning equipment’s, lenin and chemicals
- Proficiency in operating industrial cleaning equipment
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintain the agreed-upon hotel standards by cleaning and ensuring areas are free of watermarks, stains, or odors.
- Hand over the lost property to the security department, maintaining a register until claimed and returned.
- Report necessary repairs to the (assistant) Executive Housekeeper and Maintenance team.
- Exhibit warmth, care, friendliness, and helpfulness to all guests while upholding service values.
- Adhere to a high standard of personal cleanliness.
- Ensure correct chemicals and quantities are used on designated surfaces.
- Report any safety hazards to the Supervisor Housekeeping.
- Uphold company standards and policies.
- Account for, maintain, and neatly store all housekeeping equipment at the end of each shift.
