PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To maintain the retail shop and generate sales by assisting guests in purchasing merchandise, and recommending all products that will yield financial profitability and deliver an excellent guest service.

                                                 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

  • Grade 12 or Certficate or Diploma in Tourisim & Hospitality, Sales or Marketing
  • 2 years experience in a retail shop or Sales experience in the hospitality industry
  • knowledge of merchandise, styling, pricing and Inventory Management will be an added advantage

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assist customers in selecting merchandise, suggesting additional items and upselling products.
  • Process sales transactions, cashiering, billings and issuing receipts and changes in an efficient and timely manner while maintaining a high level of uest Service.
  • Compile a daily sales report on target vs profit generated and submit it to Cost Controller.
  • Balance cash registers at the end of each shift and preparing daily sales reports.

  • Maintain knowledge of lodge's products and provide detailed information to guest and assisting them in making informed purchasing decisions
  • Contribute to the overall sales targets of the retail shop.                         
  • Assist in conducting inventory and ensuring adequate merchandise supply levels.
  • Maintain the stock control, order request and par levels with a day-end report.
  • Practice the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure the rotation of stock and minimize waste by selling older inventory first.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance sales by recommending strategies for slow-moving products and items nearing expiration, aiming to optimize merchandise turnover and minimize losses.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the retail shop, and required standards of personal hygiene, appearance, and attendance.                           
  • Ensure all guest requests are handled quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain a friendly attitude.
  • Ensure that all guests are welcomed as often as possible.
  • Maintain eye contact and always acknowledge guests
