QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 12 plus Higher Certificate in formal beauty or message qualification
- 2 years’ experience as SPA Therapist in a 4* or 5* Lodge or spa/ wellness center
- Knowledge of deep tissue/hot stone massage and beauty therapy techniques.
- Experienced in providing hot and cold SPA experiences (e.g., sauna, steam rooms, cold plunge pools) to promote relaxation and well-being.
PREFERRED / ADVANTAGEOUS
- ITEC or CIDESCO Diploma in Somatology, Cosmetology or Aesthetician will be an advantage.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Welcome guests to the SPA and monitor the overall experience to ensure the service offered creates an unforgettable, unique experience.
- Deliver a personalized experience with commercial success whilst representing the spa in a professional and hospitable way.
- Consult with guests to determine their specific needs, preferences, and any indications for treatments. Listen attentively to guest concerns and provide g recommendations based on their requirements.
- Prepare treatment rooms by arranging necessary equipment, supplies, and products for scheduled treatments.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces, including countertops, equipment, and fixtures regularly.
- Deliver a variety of spa services (body treatments, massages, facials, waxing, and manicures/pedicures) safely and comfortably.
- Maintain proficiency in all treatments offered at the spa & have a good working knowledge of all spa facilities.
- Monitor all spa-related facilities and processes, including service standards, and keep the supervisor updated on any issues affecting spa operations.
- Perform monthly inventory counts of spa products and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels and inform purchasing decisions.
- Identifies Spa monthly promotions in conjunction with Spa team and distributing the same accordingly.
- Champion the identification and reporting of hazards, evaluation or risks, and design and implementation of hazard and control measures.
- Constantly monitor and check the quality-of-service delivery towards the guests and make sure the processes are speaking to the brand and the provided quality guideline.
- Upholds the standards of hygiene and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain equipment and inventory of products as per laid down standards & procedures.
- Handle guest complaint promptly and in a professional manner.
- Responsible for all health and safety requirement of therapy and treatments.
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality of each client situation.
- Keep confidential documents and trade secrets of the Company secure.
- Upselling initiatives and skills to improve revenue
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures and maintain Company standards.
- Record and maintain adequate notes about client visits.
- Report, and where possible handle, cases of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, or contravention of regulations.
