PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To ensure the safe and efficient transportation of guests and staff within the lodge premises and surrounding areas.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Grade 12
• 3 years experience as a professional driver, preferably in the hospitality or tourism industry.
• Drivers Licence - Code CE and PDP
• General mechanical knowledge will be an added advantage

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Welcome customers/guest and monitor the overall experience to ensure the service offered create unforgettable, unique experience.
• Safely and efficiently transport guests and staff to designated locations within the lodge premises, nearby attractions, and airports, adhering to predetermined schedules and routes.
• Conduct routine inspections of assigned vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
• Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Must have a background on registration & licencing of all vehicles.
• Always maintain and keep vehicle logbooks up to date, ensure that the fleet is always neat and tidy.
• Conduct shopping trips for the lodge, ensuring timely and accurate procurement of supplies.
• Collect and deliver documents, goods, mails/spares or any ad hoc services as and may be required.
• Report, and where possible handle, cases of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, or contravention of regulations.
