PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Responsible for prompt and accurate processing of customers’ transactions and for providing fast, effective and friendly service to customers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Frontline experience in a food retail environment will be an advantage.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure accurate and effective processing of customers’ transactions in line with company standards.
  • Ensure the correct quantity of monies received from customers.
  • Ensure the correct quantity of small change given to customers.
  • Check registers and verify to blacklist.
  • Ensure that a speedy and effective service is rendered to customers and attend to customer queries.
  • Daily cashing-up by verifying purchases with revenue earned in line with standard procedures.

 

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Friendly personality and customer oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Numerical Proficiency.
