PURPOSE

To support the daily operations of the department by maintaining merchandising standards, ensuring accurate pricing and stock control, and delivering excellent customer service while assisting customers with product selection and recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• National Senior Certificate (Grade 11/12)
• Minimum 2 years’ retail or customer service experience

ADVANTAGEOUS

• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer
• Experience in FMCG or retail operations
• Understanding of stock rotation (FIFO)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Merchandising & Stock Management

• Pack and replenish shelves according to store standards
• Ensure stock rotation (FIFO) and proper storage
• Maintain clean, organised, and visually appealing displays

Pricing & Promotions

• Ensure accurate pricing and product labelling
• Implement price changes and promotional signage
• Ensure all products scan correctly at tills

Customer Service & Sales

• Provide fast, friendly, and professional customer service
• Assist customers with product recommendations and enquiries
• Promote specials and increase sales opportunities

 Stock & Store Operations

• Prepare for and participate in stocktakes
• Maintain housekeeping, hygiene, and safety standards
• Ensure compliance with store procedures
