To oversee the financial aspects of inventory, procurement, and cost control within the hospitality operation. This includes tracking income and expenses, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Min Grade 12 plus Higher Certificate
- Diploma in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a financial role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent understanding and experience in financial reporting and cost control
- Computer literate (MS Office)
- Knowledge of MICROS, OPERA and SAP will be an added advantage
- Strong financial planning, compliance & risk knowledge
- Inventory management skills.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
- Support in the preparation of the monthly profit and loss statements.
- Monitor and control operational costs.
- Conduct regular audits of inventories and assist in inventory management.
- Ensure that all expenses are recorded accurately and promptly.
- Ensure timely capture of invoices and credit notes
- Verify that theoretical stock on hand matches physical stock on hand.
- Assist with profit improvement initiatives for operations.
- Monitor and improve hotel operational costs and profitability, managing business risks.
- Review daily product intake and ensure accurate pricing and quantity of goods received.
- Assist with internal, external, and regulatory audit processes
- Establish required stock quantities based on operational needs, ensuring replenishment aligns with stock holding levels.
- Inform the cost controller of stock items needed for daily/weekly replenishment.
- Ensure Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs) and Issue Requests are posted daily.
- Receive goods from suppliers, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Issue goods systematically, ensuring proper packing and storage to avoid damage or spoilage.
