PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To oversee and manage the laundry operations within the hospitality establishment, ensuring efficient and timely processing of linens, uniforms, and other laundry items to meet the standards of cleanliness and quality required by the establishment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• National Trade Certificate
• Certificate in Tourism/Hospitality Management, Housekeeping or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in housekeeping or laundry within a 4- or 5-star hotel or lodge.
• Knowledge of industrial laundry equipment, chemicals, and fabric care.
• Experience in inventory management and housekeeping procedures.
• Familiarity with Opera or another property management system.
• Experience coordinating off-site laundry logistics will be advantageous.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Supervise, train, and evaluate the laundry team.
• Coordinate washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution activities.
• Inspect finished items and resolve quality issues.
• Manage linen, uniforms, chemicals, equipment, and stock controls.
• Maintain operational, inventory, maintenance, and performance records.
• Coordinate linen transport and off-site laundry logistics.
• Monitor equipment maintenance and energy-efficient practices.
• Prepare schedules, timesheets, purchase orders, and invoice controls.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, HACCP, and company standards.
• Support excellent guest and employee experience and procedures.
