QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum Grade 12
- Minimum 1 year experience as a public area cleaner in a 4- or 5-star luxury hotel/lodge environment.
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and use of cleaning equipment, linen, and chemicals.
- Excellent knowledge of culinary arts and a passion for creating new and innovative dishes
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Address all guest complaints courteously and professionally, providing feedback and escalating issues to management as necessary.
- Articulate and maintain developed standards, product knowledge, and grooming protocols effectively.
- Constantly monitor and check the quality-of-service delivery towards the guests and make sure the processes are speaking to the brand and the provided quality guideline.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation of lobbies, corridors, and other public areas, ensuring a tidy appearance.
- Clean and maintain various surfaces such as floors, carpets, windows, and furniture using appropriate cleaning equipment and solutions.
- Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks such as shampooing carpets, polishing floors, or cleaning windows.
- Hand over lost property to the security department, meticulously maintaining a register and ensuring safekeeping until claimed by the rightful owner.
- Utilize correct chemicals and appropriate quantities on specific surfaces following established protocols to guarantee optimal cleanliness and safety.
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, responding promptly to any guest requests or concerns to ensure a positive guest experience.
