PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

 

To serve as the first line of enquiry for restaurant reservations inside the hotel by providing exceptional guest service, alternatives, and other solutions to fulfil guest demands.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of Grade 12 plus Higher Certificate.                                            
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role or front office experience.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and well-versed with computer programs.
  • Telemarketing experience.
  • Knowledge of ResDiary and Opera.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Deliver a personalized experience with commercial success whilst representing the restaurant outlets in a professional and hospitable way.
  • Welcome guests to the hotel and provide the overall experience to ensure the service offered creates an unforgettable, unique experience.
  • Identify sales leads as needed and optimize revenue opportunities in all outlets.
  • Achieve optimum alignment, confirm bookings for all F&B outlets, and communicate all confirmed bookings via a function sheet.
  • Actively promote hotel food and beverage outlets, weekly and daily specials, and any special events.
  • Manage and make reservations for all F&B outlets.
  • Maintain an updated client database (ResDiary), menus, and beverage lists.
  • Build and maintain relationships with tour guides and group organizers.
  • Maintain the guest profile information system on both ResDiary and Opera, updating it as necessary to reflect current preferences.
  • Handle reservations for special events arranged by the hotel.
  • Ensures that all function sheets associated with the restaurants are accurate and produced on time.      
  • Ensures that all department reports are completed on time and accurately.
