Execute thorough cleaning, sanitization, and preparation of guest rooms, guaranteeing adherence to elevated hygiene standards and ensuring optimal comfort for incoming guests. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum Grade 12.
- 1 experience as a room attendant and/or cleaner in a 4-star or 5-star luxury hotel/lodge environment.
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and use of cleaning equipment, linen, and chemicals.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Clean, sanitize, and disinfect all guest room areas thoroughly, encompassing the bathroom, bedroom, and living space. Perform dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and changing of linens as necessary.
- Organize clothing items in occupied guest rooms according to standard guidelines, ensuring neatly folded presentation.
- Collect and transport room service trays from guestroom hallways or corridors to back landings, coordinating pick-up requests.
- Maintain, account for, and neatly store all housekeeping equipment at the end of each shift.
- Uphold cleanliness in designated areas, adhering to hotel standards to eliminate watermarks, stains, or odors.
- Hand over lost property to the guest relations department, meticulously maintaining a register and ensuring safekeeping until claimed by the rightful owner.
- Utilize correct chemicals and appropriate quantities on specific surfaces following established protocols to guarantee optimal cleanliness and safety.
- Follow and complete daily cleaning checklists diligently, ensuring no oversight in tasks
- Refill amenities such as toiletries, tissues, soaps, and towels.
- Check rooms for maintenance issues, report any missing or damaged items to the Housekeeping Supervisor and own the responsibility to ensure that the items are replaced or repaired to create an uninterrupted or impaired stay for the guest.
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, responding promptly to any guest requests or concerns to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Ensure delivered service is consistent and meets/exceeds guest experiences.
