PURPOSE

To support the day-to-day operations of the Bakery Department by ensuring products are well-presented, stock is managed effectively, and customers receive excellent service, contributing to store profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• National Senior Level Certificate
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail or customer service environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Stock Handling & Merchandising

• Collect stock from the production area or cold room and pack shelves according to store standards
• Rotate stock using FIFO principles to ensure freshness
• Maintain well-stocked, clean, and visually appealing displays

 Pricing & Accuracy

• Place and update price labels correctly
• Ensure all products scan accurately at tills
• Maintain pricing consistency across displays

Standards & Housekeeping

• Maintain cleanliness of shelves and display counters
• Keep cold rooms clean, organised, and compliant with standards

Customer Service

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service
• Assist customers with product enquiries and recommendations
