PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To supervise the cold storage personnel ensuring that the receiving, storing and issuing of frozen and fresh products are done in accordance with the company rules and guidelines to ensure the smooth running of operations within the department.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
•    Grade 12 with certificate/diploma in storekeeping/warehousing disciplines is an added advantage
•    At least 3 years’ experience as a storekeeper/warehousing preferably in a cold store environment. 
•    Sound knowledge of SAP.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
•    Oversee daily cold storage operations, including inventory management and stock rotation.
•    Ensure proper storage conditions and temperature control to maintain product quality.
•    Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff, assigning tasks and ensuring efficiency.
•    Monitor compliance with safety, hygiene, and food storage regulations.
•    Conduct regular inspections of equipment and storage facilities.
•    Prepare reports on inventory levels, stock movements and operational performance.
•    Collaborate with suppliers, logistics teams, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
•    Responsible for preparing loading documents and assisting loadings to loading masters.
•    Responsible for monitoring/supervising of all loadings taking place.
•    Responsible for verifying and completion of loading documents before stock departs the premises.
