Purpose of the Position:

To manage the receiving, storing, and issuing of all fish products for Hangana Seafood and external clients. To manage subordinates and equipment to achieve optimal results of the logistics process.  Major key responsibility will be to maintain a critical link between the Sales & Marketing, Production functions and Hangana Services to administer all aspects in time creation of Sales orders and documentation of booked containers and truck loads throughout the month.  Check that all products are inspected by NSI for export to ensure the smooth running of operations within the department.  Total control of all Commercial Cold Store Stock & monthly reporting plus the insurance cover on all products on hand.

Qualification and Experience Required:

• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management
• 5 – 8 years experience in sales and marketing of which two years is in a Supervisory position.
• 2 – 5 years experience, and or exposure in the fishing industry, and service operations.
• In-depth understanding of SAP MM Module/Innova system.
• Sound knowledge of HACCP and ISO standards.
• Knowledge of BRC standards.
• Added Advantage: Logistics supply & cold chain management experience in the retail industry

Key Responsibilities:

Manage stock holding practices and systems: Take full ownership of the financial impact of stock movements and controls. Update and maintain stock accounting procedures on Innova & SAP. Update loading schedule daily and liaise with other departments such as Sales, Production, Hangana Services, Quality Assurance etc. Arrange NSI inspection and queries.

Accurate and effective receiving and dispatching of products:  Check order request from Sales Department / Hangana Services. Plan loading activities in conjunction with Sales & Marketing and Production & Hangana Services. Supervise and coordinate loading/ issuing/ receiving activities. Administer correct labelling practices during loadings.

Manpower utilisation: Plan shifts and activities to optimize productivity and minimise on overtime. Control all the expenditure in the department according to the budget.

Maintain and improve cold store management system: Maintain an effective Store movement and Stock Holding systems by regularly recording information on Innova & SAP.

Inspection and stock taking: Supervise adherence to stock taking procedure. Supervise stock take reconciliation.
