Purpose of the position:

To direct and coordinate the operations of the Marine department concerned with the production, pricing and sales of ship repair projects. Reviews financial statements, activity reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement. Determines areas needing cost reduction and improvements. Establishes and implements departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures. Oversee the full scope of the Ship Repair projects and engage with current and new clients to secure opportunities to ensure the business unit is sustainable.

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualification in Project Management

• 8 - 10 years experience in the Ship Repair industry on middle leadership team level

• Material Knowledge

• Computer Literacy

• Understand general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management

Advantageous:

• 4-year degree in project engineering

Key outputs:

• Revenue forecasting, budgets and financial statements

• Direct the activities of the Marine business unit - all activities pertaining to the production, pricing and sales of activities.

• Contract and Client Management

• Customer service and Marketing of the business unit - drive business development by building and maintaining client relationships

• Planning and Strategic sessions

• Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures.
