PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To perform overall sales operations within the Health and Beauty department by implementing required merchandising and service standards, while delivering excellent customer service to support store profitability and an exceptional shopping experience.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• National Senior Level Certificate.
• 2 Year experience in a customer service and/or retail environment.

ADVANTAGEOUS

• Certificate in Wholesale/Retail.
• Experience in a health and beauty or FMCG retail environment.
• Knowledge of merchandising standards and stock rotation (FIFO).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Merchandising & Stock Control

• Replenish shelves and ensure products are displayed according to company standards.
• Apply FIFO principles and rotate stock effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and visual appeal of shelves and displays.
• Ensure no damaged or expired stock is displayed.

Pricing & Promotions

• Ensure correct pricing and labelling of all products.
• Implement price changes and promotional signage accurately.
• Verify barcode accuracy and pricing at tills.

Sales & Customer Service

• Deliver fast, friendly, and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with product knowledge, usage, and recommendations.
• Promote specials and current promotions effectively.

Stock Taking & Store Operations

• Participate in regular stocktakes and preparation processes.
• Maintain backroom and storage areas in a neat and organised manner.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
