Purpose of the Position:
The Human Capital Manager drives the people strategy by leading talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, and organisational design. The role ensures compliance, manages compensation and wellness, and fosters a high-performance culture. Through strategic leadership, the position enables business success by building an engaged, capable, and future-ready workforce.
Qualification and Experience Required:
- Honor’s Degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology
- 8 Years’ experience in a Human Capital environment, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership capacity
- Valid drivers license
- Excellent Knowledge on Labour Act Regulations and HR Policies and best practices
Key Responsibilities:
Human Capital Strategy & Budget – Provide input into the overall Company Strategy, Develop and execute the Human Capital Strategy of the Company and develop the annual HR budget and monitor all HR related costs in line with budget.
Talent Management & Development - Develop and implement effective recruitment and selection strategies to ensure the company has suitable talent that operates productively and effectively. Manage the end-to-end recruitment process from job postings to onboarding.
Employee Engagement & Culture - Develop and implement Employee Engagement programs aligned to the O&L Group Culture and Persona to achieve the overall Employer of Choice vision.
Organisational Design & Workforce planning - Facilitate annual Organisational Design sessions at Opco Leadership level to ensure the company has made provision for all required positions to execute the Organisational Strategy. Conduct the annual Workforce Plan and Budget and ensure all structures are built in the HRIS before the start of the financial year. Identify critical positions and manage the talent capability to ensure a pipeline filled with talent for these positions.
Employee Relations - Handle all employee relations issues, such as conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and grievances. Responsible for the annual Affirmative Action Report and AA initiatives. Responsible for Wage Negotiations, Conciliation, and Arbitration cases. Maintain compliance to Labour Act regulations and Company ER policies and procedures.
Compensation & Benefits - Manage the Payroll Administration division. Responsible for monthly payroll checks and sign off before salary payout is processed.
Training & Development - Implement strategies to continuously develop and train employees to equip them with the relevant competencies required for current and future roles. Manage the Study Loan and Assistance programs for the Company.
Employee Health & Wellness - Implement and monitor compliance to the Employee Health & Wellness policies and procedures.
Performance Management - Manage the Performance Management cycle in the Performance Management System.
Leadership - Responsible for the performance, discipline, development, and coaching of direct reports.
