Purpose 

 

This position is responsible for the overall leadership of the Human Capital function within Kraatz Marine.  This includes strategy development and implementation, business guidance and advice with regards to HR best practice and the control and management of the labour function within Kraatz Marine. This role is responsible for sound workforce planning, labour efficiencies, sound employee relations and leadership inspiration.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Post Graduate Degree in HR Management or Industrial Psychology.
  • 8 years’ relevant Human Capital experience of which 4 years should have been in a senior management level.
  • In depth knowledge and experience in strategy development and implementation, workforce planning, labour efficiency management, Industrial Relations, budget planning & management.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Develop and implement the Human Capital strategy for the organisation.
  • Talent Management of the organisation
  • Responsible for the management and implementation of the Learning & Development process.
  • Develop & manage workforce plans, budgets & structures in line with the strategy and operational requirements on an annual basis.
  • Responsible for the effective and legislatively compliant management of the payroll department and corresponding labour cost.
  • Accountable for Human Capital efficiencies.
  • Manage and coordinate the implementation & execution of  the O&L People Strategy.
  • Responsible for the compliance with the Employee Equity Commission requirements.
  • Monthly reporting on Human Capital performance indicators.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to promote the organisation as a Employer of Choice.
  • Manage HC Services budget & cost centers.
