Purpose of Position:
To support the organization in achieving its strategic objectives by delivering effective human capital solutions across the employee lifecycle. This includes talent acquisition & retention, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, and compliance with labor legislation. The HR role serves as a key partner to management and employees, fostering a positive work environment, driving employee engagement, and ensuring the alignment of HR practices with organizational goals
Qualifications/Key Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (NQF 7)
- At least 5-6 relevant experience
- Knowledge of Namibian Labour Law & HR related legislation
- Familiarity with HRIS and proficiency in MS Office applications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the talent acquisition process by identifying and attracting the best candidates for positions.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements, conduct effective interviews, and make informed hiring decisions
- Coordinate and administer the Recruitment, Selection, and Induction procedure in area of responsibility as per Policy & Procedure
- Receive Personnel Requisition and verify against Manpower plan & budget
- Prepare, distribute and place internal & external advertisements within time frames as required by company policy and Employment Services Act of Namibia
- Receive Personnel Requisition and verify against Manpower plan & budget.
- Screen applicants according to requirements & within time frames and obtain shortlist from line management
- Arrange & confirm panel & candidates for interviews
- Prepare all interview documents, including questionnaires & evaluations as per Job Profile and facilitate the interview process
- Conduct reference checks on suitable candidates before offer of employment and file records for future reference
- Maintain and keep records of all recruitment documentation for internal and external reference
- Keep within deadlines regarding recruitment process & procedures in order to increase internal employee satisfaction
- Provide interview outcome feedback to unsuccessful interviewees
- Arrange/ support line manager with logistics for placement of new hire
- Arrange and communicate induction program (including relevant training events) to be followed by new hire
- Introduce newly appointed employee to the team
- Manage work permits according to expiry dates if expatriates are in area of responsibility and organize and apply for work permits as per procedure
- Overseeing and managing the performance appraisal system that drives a high performing culture
- Prepare, collect, and submit accurate and relevant payroll documentation necessary for payroll input (appointments, adjustments, terminations etc.) monthly
- Administer the Termination Process and conduct Exit interviews (with special reference to drawing conclusions from Exit Interviews), inform relevant stakeholders accordingly and submit documentation to payroll for processing.
- Liaise with line managers to ensure that all new employees have a performance agreement and development plan in plan in place and coordinate the process
- Prepare, collect, and submit accurate and relevant payroll documentation necessary for payroll input (appointments, adjustments, terminations etc.) monthly.
- Administer the Termination Process and conduct Exit interviews (with special reference to drawing conclusions from Exit Interviews), inform relevant stakeholders accordingly and submit documentation to payroll for processing.

- Identify training needs through performance assessments, employee feedback, and organizational requirements and communicate needs to L&D Specialist.
- Inform L&D Consultant of all compulsory and compliance training needs, licenses and expiration dates of new hires.
- Assist Line Managers to identify critical succession positions and understudies and communicate such to OD & Talent Specialist.
- Assist with workforce planning sheets for business units.
- Assist with executing OD related projects as needed
- Assist with Employer of Choice projects where applicable.
- Monitor the implementation of Employer of choice actions, for designated business unit, support operational leaders to further embed the required culture to drive performance.
- Conduct effective HR Roadshows on regular basis.
- Provide innovative solutions to problems identified in the HR Road Shows
- Generate HR-related reports and analytics to support decision-making processes
- Keep confidential documents and trade secrets of the Company secure.
- Relief and assist in all areas during periods of absence or crisis.
- Attend to any reasonable request made by Management
- Report, and where possible handle, cases of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, or contravention of regulations.
- Attend meetings, training courses, workshops or seminars as required
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures and maintain Company standards. Guiding staff on company policies
