PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Assist the Crane Operator in the safe and correct discharging of all vessels by giving the correct hand signals

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Experience: One year in basic Hand Signal Indication.
• Fluent in English.
• Valid Drivers Licence.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Discharge and sort fish from vessel effectively, hygienically and as quickly as possible.
• Clean the vessels and supply the bins and ice to proceed back to sea
• Check that mooring ropes of vessels are secured.
• Assist the Crane Operator with the moving of vessels at the jetty and when required, assist to take vessels to and from syncrolift.
• Clean jetty and surrounding areas.
• Pump water from vessels’ fish hold.
• Check that discharge equipment in safe working condition.
