PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To ensure that the fish samples submitted to the laboratory for testing are tested according to established standards and results are released without delay. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
•    Bachelor’s degree in food safety, microbiology, food technology, food science or related life science.
•    2 years’ work experience in a microbiological laboratory. 
•    Working knowledge of HACCP, ISO 17025 and experience in the FMCG industry is an advantage.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
•    Aseptic product sampling according to the sampling plan.
•    Microbiological testing of water, fish and all hygiene monitoring swabs.
•    Organoleptic inspection on products.
•    Chemical, consumable and equipment inventory for the Lab.
•    Equipment verification.
•    Recording and reporting results.
