PURPOSE OF THE POSITION 

Procurement of goods and services and manage inventories for the Company’s use at the maximum end-use value per Namibian dollar spent and at the lowest total acquisition cost using the internal control procedures and standards by using the SAP Material Management Module.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma in Material Management or Logistics Management.
  • 5 years’ experience in Procurement practices and procedures.
  • Technical qualification or experience will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in SAP R3 (Materials Management Module) is a distinct advantage.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Effectively source goods/items for area of responsibility.
  • Processes requests for quotations/proposals for department purchases, researching, evaluating and making appropriate selection of commodity or service classification from the vendor master list, or suggest a new vendor.
  • Create Purchase Order (PO) on SAP.
  • Expediting.
  • Coordinate New Vendor Applications on SAP in Areas of Responsibility.
  • Training and Procurement Procedures.
  • Maintain Vendor Relationships.
