PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To ensure that the products produced in the factory are of high quality and that the whole production process is in compliance with HACCP standards.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 with certificate in Marine Biology or related disciplines is an added advantage
- At least 2 years’ experience in white fish processing plant.
- Sound knowledge of HACCP and GMP.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Hygiene inspection on employees.
- Hygiene inspection of factory equipment.
- Check that the product processed are as per product specifications.
- Check that the temperature on the product is as per set standard
- Check the grading on the product.
- Keep record of all inspections.
- Check that the temperature of the product is correct and that it is packed in the correct box.
- Record the findings and forward report to the Marine HACCP Controller.
- Take samples from finished product area for final test at the Lab before the product is released for the customer.
