PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Perform operational and maintenance duties as required and assist with the repairs and maintenance on all industrial, commercial, and domestic refrigeration & air conditioning equipment on site

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Recognized Trade Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Level 3.
• Minimum of 2 years Operations and Maintenance experience on an Industrial Ammonia plant
• Ammonia Category A Safety Certificate added advantage
• Valid Driver’s License added advantage 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Perform operations and maintenance on all factory and plant room equipment
• Attend to refrigeration breakdowns; escalate to Mechanic in instances where unable to resolve
• Perform maintenance on all factory, office Aircons & fresh air units as instructed by Foreman
• Do lubrication maintenance on plant room and factory refrigeration equipment including grease work and filling up oil levels where required
• Report any ammonia leak to the Refrigeration Mechanic
• Check condenser chemical levels and pump condition.
• Charge plant with ammonia as requested by Refrigeration Mechanic
• Adhere to safety, HACCP and BRC regulations and policies.
