Purpose

To operate the bread slicing machine in line with prescribed standards and ensure that all bread is sliced, packed, and presented correctly to meet customer expectations and support store profitability.

Qualifications & Experience

•             Grade 11 or 12 (National Senior Certificate)

•             Minimum 2 years’ experience in a bakery or retail environment

•             Basic customer service knowledge

•             Ability to perform manual and repetitive tasks efficiently

Key Responsibilities

•             Slice and pack bread according to company standards

•             Ensure products are correctly priced and displayed on shelves

•             Maintain high levels of hygiene and food safety in the bakery

•             Clean and maintain the bread slicing machine daily

•             Minimise waste through proper use of equipment

•             Assist with general bakery duties and support the team as required
