PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

 

The Buyer’s Administrator supports the Buying team by updating and maintaining pricing on all articles with their dedicated category.   Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring efficient communication with suppliers and stakeholders.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree, in Business Management or Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Maintain and update deals, list costs, and selling prices of articles as per buyer.
  • Assisting the stores and suppliers with queries relating to articles, prices, data etc on daily basis                                                       
  • Communicate articles with errors to the Buyer for action.                          
  • Assist with the pricing claims                                                         
  • Monitor deal ending on a weekly basis and send to buyer to action.          
  • Draw strike rate reports and send to the buyers to action                
  • Monitor promotional lines and deals                                                        
  • Calculate the degree of price increases and communicate with the stores for buy in purposes 
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding master data errors and corrections   
  • Follow up on price discrepancies and take corrective action            
  • List new articles once vendor has been opened as per buyer
  • Collaborate with buyers to understand product demands and customer preferences.                                                  
  • Stay updated on market trends and customer preferences to assist in the buyer with sourcing of new products and evaluation of existing stock.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   .
