PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To provide excellent cleaning services to various divisions within Hartlief in line with Hygiene Code of conduct and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
- Grade 10
- 1 years experience in a similar position
- Cleaning experience in Food Industry will be advantageous
KEY JOB OUTPUTS:
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across all assigned areas by sweeping, washing floors, and cleaning windows
- Ensure toilets, offices, and surrounding areas are consistently clean and hygienic
- Empty dustbins regularly and dispose of waste appropriately
- Keep outdoor areas tidy by removing grass and weeds around the premises
- Safely store cleaning detergents and chemicals in designated areas after use
- Monitor and report stock levels of cleaning materials and equipment to the Supervisor Quality Control
- Request cleaning supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations
- Support stock taking by assisting with movement and counting of stock items
- Provide general assistance in various tasks as required by management
- Comply with company quality standards and report any faults or quality concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness at all times in line with “clean as you go” principles
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP)
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and report any incidents or deviations
- Wear full PPE at all times when on duty
- Maintain personal hygiene by washing and sanitizing hands before entering the factory
- Ensure gum boots are washed at the factory entrance before entry
- Comply with company cold chain requirements
- Clean and sanitize machines, equipment, work areas, and containers to meet food safety standards
- Ensure all machines are switched off and utilities (water, air outlets) are secured at the end of the day
- Leave all work areas clean, organized, and hygienic at close of business
