PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:  

The purpose of the position is to efficiently manage the stock movement within the Cooler by receiving stock from production, accurately picking stock based on picking slips, conducting regular stock takes, and ensuring the rotation of stock according to the FIFO (First In, First Out) method. By adhering to these processes, the goal is to minimize stock losses and maintain optimal inventory levels within the Cooler.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

• Grade 12 and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the same/similar position.

PREFERRED ADVANTAGEOUS:

• FMCG experience

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Receive finished products from the conveyor and pack stock in the designated area.
• Receive the picking slip from the Supervisor Cooler and work out a number of crates required based on product quantity.
• Pick stock (fastened on pallets) timeously according to the picking slip and pack in the cage for loading.
• Perform stock takes daily after loading trucks and complete stock count sheet.
• Submit stock count sheet to Supervisor Cooler
• Perform re-counts where discrepancies have been identified.
• Perform monthly stock take and submit count sheet to Supervisor Cooler and Team Leader Cooler
• Perform stock counts on pallets and crates and submit to Supervisor Cooler
• Communicate authorized quality-related concessions to the Quality Controller & Supervisor: Quality.
• Rotate stock in the Cooler according to FIFO and cold chain principles.
• Handle products with caution to avoid damaging stock and minimize stock losses.
• Follow up with Supervisor Cooler and Team Leader Cooler on out-of-stock and blocked products to be picked.
