PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:  

 To perform reconciliations on a monthly basis of vendor accounts in order to ensure all valid creditors are paid and expenditures are accurately recorded and reported.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Certificate in Accounting, with 2-3 years experience in Accounts Payable or
  • Grade 12 with 5 years’ experience in more than one relevant job in Accounts Payable. 

 

ADDED ADVANTAGE:

  • Experience in a FMCG environment.
  • SAP Experience

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Managing of vendor accounts and general ledger accounts

  • Accurately capture invoices in SAP in order to effect payment accurately and on time to creditors.
  • Ensure invoices are properly authorized in accordance with levels of authority and allocate it to correct Supplier & General Ledger accounts on a daily basis.
  • Check & match invoices against orders. 
  • Accurately process invoices in Accounts Payable daily.
  • Process payments of One Time Vendor Invoices and Vendors/Creditors.
  • Send Remittance Advice and Proof of Payments to Vendors/Creditors after completion of the Payment Run.
  • Clearing from the bank
  • Filing of Invoices after Payment Run.
  • Accurately prepare Monthly reconciliations of Creditors' Accounts Statements against the Account Payable Age Analysis.
  • Accurately reconcile General Ledger and Creditors Accounts on a monthly basis to make sure that accounts are correctly balanced.
  • Validate accruals against ZOTIF report and ZMM Vendor Spend report.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests as and when required.

 

Reconciliation of Balance Sheets

  • Reconciliation of Accounts Payable general ledger accounts monthly.
  • VAT reconciliation, vendor payments

 

Provide professional customer service

  • Attend to stakeholder queries accurately and on time and ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Act responsibly and professionally during external relationships to uplift the image of the company.
  • Adhere to Company Policies, Code of Conduct, Procedures and Group Values.
