PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To receive processed products from Production and pick stock according to the consolidated order by applying FIFO principle. To sort, count, label, weight and pack products according to the production & packing plan, in line with Food Safety requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

• Grade 12 with 1 year working experience in a similar environment
• Previous experience in a Food manufacturing industry

KEY JOB OUTPUTS:

• Receive finished products from productions and pick according to order sheet and picking slip
• Pack products in distribution packaging
• Ensure correct number of products are packed packaging material
• Weigh layered products to ensure that it is in a specific weight limit according to product specification
• Place products in crates
• Put correct bar codes in the bags with products and place in crates as per required number
• Assist Line Manager in moving of crates and boxes(products) during stock taking on weekly and monthly stock take
• Assist the Line Manager in counting of stock on weekly and monthly stock take
• Clean area of operations at all times in line with the “clean as you go principles”
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing and Good Hygiene Practices
• Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations and report deviations and incidents to Supervisor/ Team Leader
• Wear full PPE before commencement of duty
• Wash and sanitize hands before entering factory
• Wash Gum boots at the factory entrance
• Adhere to Company cold chain regulations
• Clean and sanitize machines, equipment, work areas and containers/mini cars/crates to kill bacteria in line with Food Safety requirements
• Check that all machines are switched off and close all water taps and air outlets at close of business.
• Clean all areas and leave in hygienic condition at close of business
• Cut nets, pack rolls and place in crates
• Assist with Stock counts at Dispatch when required
• Store all finished products in cooler, according to FIFO
• Assist in any area/job as requested by Management
