Role Purpose

The EUC Engineer (L1) is an entry-level role within the Digital Workplace Department, responsible for providing frontline support to end-users and assisting in the maintenance of end-user computing environments. The role focuses on delivering high-quality technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth daily IT operations for employees.

Education & Certifications

  • National Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology (or currently studying towards one).
  • Advantageous: Microsoft certifications (MD-100: Windows 10/11, MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals).
  • ITIL Foundations (advantageous).

Experience

  • 0–2 years of IT support experience (internship or entry-level exposure acceptable).
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and Active Directory.
  • Exposure to troubleshooting hardware and software issues in an IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support for end-user devices (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and collaboration tools (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, etc.).
  • Assist with user account management (Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD).
  • Support software installations, updates, and patching.
  • Perform routine maintenance and monitoring of endpoint devices.
  • Log, escalate, and track service requests via the IT service desk system.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees (device setup, access provisioning, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with EUC Engineers (L2/L3) to escalate complex issues and learn advanced troubleshooting methods.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and security practices.
