About the Role

Mach 10 (Pty) Ltd is seeking a seasoned and forward-thinking End User Computing (EUC) Engineer (L3) to strengthen our Digital Workplace Department. This senior-level technical role is suited for a professional with extensive experience in modern endpoint management, enterprise desktop environments, and digital workplace transformation. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving endpoint security, automation, compliance, and user experience across both client and corporate environments.

Education & Certifications (Minimum Requirements)

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.

• Microsoft certifications such as MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator), MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator), or equivalent.

Advantageous Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ-104)

• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300)

• ITIL Foundation

• VMware VCP or Azure Virtual Desktop specialty certifications

Experience

• Minimum 5–7 years’ hands-on experience in enterprise IT infrastructure support, endpoint engineering, or EUC roles.
• Proven experience managing hybrid environments (on-prem Active Directory integrated with Microsoft Entra ID).
• Demonstrated experience implementing modern device management using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Strong exposure to Zero Trust security models and enterprise endpoint protection frameworks.
• Experience leading desktop refresh projects, Microsoft 365 migrations, and endpoint security deployments.
• Exposure to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or other cloud-based virtual desktop environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical escalation point (L3) for complex endpoint and Microsoft 365 issues.
• Design, deploy, and maintain modern endpoint management solutions using Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager, and Entra ID.
• Implement and manage Windows 11 enterprise environments, including Autopilot provisioning.
• Configure and manage Conditional Access, MFA, and identity security policies.
• Deploy and manage Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Identity, and XDR) solutions.
• Support and optimize Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
• Manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or other VDI platforms (VMware Horizon/Citrix where applicable).
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell to streamline support and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with security baselines, CIS benchmarks, and company governance standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, CMDB updates, and adherence to change management processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the Digital Workplace team.

Key Technical Skills & Competencies

• Advanced knowledge of Windows 10/11 Enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Windows Autopilot.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Hybrid Identity, and Active Directory.
• Experience with Conditional Access, MFA, and Zero Trust security frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender suite (Endpoint, XDR, Identity).
• Experience supporting Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), VMware Horizon, or Citrix.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation capability.
• Understanding of device compliance policies, MDM/MAM concepts, and mobile endpoint management.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and collaboration tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Customer-centric mindset with a focus on digital employee experience.
