About the Role

Mach 10 (Pty) Ltd is seeking a seasoned and dynamic End User Computing (EUC) Engineer (L3) to strengthen our Digital Workplace Department. This is a senior-level technical position ideal for professionals with a proven track record of delivering exceptional desktop, endpoint, and end-user support services within enterprise environments. You will play a critical role in driving the performance, security, and reliability of the desktop ecosystem at client and corporate level.

Education & Certifications (Minimum Requirements)

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Required: Microsoft certifications such as MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator), MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator), or equivalent.
• Advantageous:
    - Microsoft Server certifications (e.g., Windows Server 2019/2022)
    - VMware (VCP-DTM)
    - ITIL Foundation

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support or desktop engineering roles.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
• Track record of leading EUC deployments and upgrades in cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Acting as the lead technical authority for end-user support across the organization.
• Designing, deploying, and maintaining modern desktop environments using tools like Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Active Directory, and Azure AD.
• Providing L3 support for escalated incidents and complex problem resolution.
• Managing and optimizing virtual desktop environments (VMware Horizon, Citrix).
• Leading the deployment of security policies, compliance configurations, and endpoint protection (BitLocker, MFA, Defender for Endpoint).
• Supporting the implementation of Microsoft 365 tools including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Driving scripting and automation using PowerShell or similar to enhance support efficiency.
• Collaborating with infrastructure, network, and security teams for integrated service delivery.
• Ensuring proper documentation, CMDB updates, and adherence to change control procedures.
• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers within the EUC team.

Key Technical Skills & Competencies

• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune/SCCM).
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware Horizon or Citrix.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell preferred).
• Solid understanding of desktop and mobile security tools and concepts.
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to document technical processes clearly and contribute to IT governance.
• Customer-centric mindset with a passion for improving digital employee experiences.
