Purpose

 

To manage and lead the Finance function by ensuring strong financial control, accurate and insightful reporting, effective financial resource management, and compliance with statutory and corporate governance requirements. The role supports strategic decision-making and sustainable business performance.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s (Honours) Degree  in Accounting/Finance.
  • 6 years relevant experience in financial management.
  • Driver’s licence and willingness to travel.

 

 Advantageous

 

  • Professional certifications (CA, CIMA, ACCA).
  • Strong analytical and digital reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of internal controls, tax, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience in retail or hospitality industries.
  • Experience with SAP/ARCH systems.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure accurate management accounts, variance analysis, and performance insights.
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and support internal/external audits.

 

Financial Control & Compliance

  • Implement and monitor internal controls and financial policies.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and governance requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.

 

Cash Flow & Resource Management

  • Manage cash flow, liquidity and working capital.
  • Support capital planning, investment evaluations and financial forecasting.
  • Engage with banks, insurers and auditors when needed.

 

Budgeting & Business Partnering

  • Lead annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Partner with business units to align financial plans with strategy.
  • Recommend corrective actions for variances and inefficiencies.

 

Leadership

  • Lead, motivate and develop the finance team.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, integrity and continuous improvement.

 

Procurement Oversight

  • Oversee procurement processes and ensure SOP compliance.
  • Maintain strong supplier and internal stakeholder relationships.
