PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To control and facilitate all activities of the Foods & Toiletries department as per the required standard and procedures, in order to promote and maximise sales and increase customer experience to enhance business profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• National Senior Level Certificate.
• Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in a retail Foods & Toiletries department. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensure monthly turnover, shrinkage, waste, and gross profit targets are met through effective resource utilization and control mechanisms.
• Maintain merchandising and QDVP4 standards to enhance product visibility and customer experience, contributing to overall store profitability.
• Monitor stock levels, rotation, and expiry dates to ensure product availability and freshness. Submit accurate orders and follow receiving procedures.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the department. Ensure food safety protocols and equipment maintenance are consistently followed.
• Supervise and support staff performance, training, and scheduling. Promote adherence to company policies, grooming standards, and personal hygiene standards.
