PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To lead, oversee, develop, maintain and direct the overall growth and brand position strategy for the business to gain fair market share, ensuring sustainability of the business. To position O&L Leisure as the leading consumer driven hospitality company in Namibia.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years' marketing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior marketing leadership role.
- Strong understanding of tourism demand, travel behaviour, and global source markets.
- Proven experience in brand management, digital marketing, public relations, and strategic marketing.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing high-impact marketing strategies.
- Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of consumer behaviour and market trends.
- Hospitality or tourism industry experience will be an added advantage.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Strategic Planning & Brand Positioning
- Develop and execute growth and brand positioning strategies that drive market share and business sustainability.
- Lead long-term and short-term marketing planning aligned with business objectives.
- Position new business acquisitions and expand brand presence in local and international markets.
- Drive the implementation of the O&L Leisure Brand Charter and brand promise.
Marketing Strategy & Leadership
- Lead the execution of integrated marketing, retail, brand, and PR strategies.
- Manage marketing budgets and ensure optimal return on investment.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to strengthen market positioning and business performance.
- Provide strategic market insights and recommendations to senior leadership and shareholders.
Digital Marketing & Brand Management
- Ensure consistent brand identity and messaging across all channels and guest touchpoints.
- Oversee digital marketing, social media, website development, advertising, PR, and promotional campaigns.
- Drive customer engagement, lead generation, and brand visibility through innovative marketing initiatives.
- Support creative development and campaign execution across all properties.
Market Analysis & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor industry trends, customer behaviour, competitor activity, and market opportunities.
- Track marketing performance, campaign effectiveness, and market share growth.
- Use consumer insights and analytics to inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Oversee the successful delivery of marketing projects and strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agencies, partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure marketing activities are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives.
Leadership & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a Great Place to Work culture.
- Drive performance management, coaching, and capability development within the team.
O&L Persona & Brand Experience
- Embed the O&L Persona and brand promise across all marketing activities and customer touchpoints.
- Ensure authentic storytelling and consistent brand experiences throughout the guest journey.
- Support property-specific campaigns while maintaining alignment with the overall brand strategy.
