PURPOSE:
Lead the transformation of OL Leisure into a world-class hospitality organisation by designing and embedding operational excellence, continuous improvement, digital enablement and performance management capabilities across the portfolio. Drive sustainable business improvement through internationally recognised methodologies, while building, coaching and transferring specialised expertise to leaders and teams to ensure long-term organisational capability and success.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Post graduate qualification in Hospitality Management/Hospitality Operations Management and or MBA with specialization in Operations, Strategy or Transformation as an added advantage.
- A minimum of 10–15 years' international hotelier experience in operational transformation, continuous improvement or enterprise performance improvement.
- Proven experience in hospitality, multi-site operations or complex organizational transformation environments.
- Demonstrated success in designing and implementing large-scale transformation and improvement programs.
- Strong expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, business process engineering and operational excellence frameworks.
- Experience in advanced analytics, performance management systems and digital transformation.
- Proven ability to lead organizational changes and influence senior and executive stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in capability building, coaching and structured knowledge transfer.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Enterprise Transformation
- Design and implement the OL Leisure Transformation Roadmap aligned with Vision 2029 and beyond.
- Lead enterprise-wide transformation and strategic improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, cost efficiency, service delivery and organizational capability.
- Benchmark operations against relevant international hospitality and operational best practice.
Operational Excellence & Performance Management
- Design and embed operational excellence frameworks, operating models and improvement methodologies.
- Develop performance architecture, KPI frameworks and operational maturity models.
- Establish standardized systems and methodologies that enable consistent performance improvement across the portfolio.
- Develop executive performance dashboards and strengthen evidence-based decision-making.
Continuous Improvement & Process Engineering
- Introducing and embedding Lean Management, Six Sigma and other recognized continuous improvement methodologies.
- Lead process mapping, re-engineering, standardization and waste-elimination initiatives.
- Identify inefficiencies, process gaps and cost leakages and implement sustainable solutions.
- Identify opportunities for automation and improved productivity across the business.
Digital Enablement & Analytics
- Identify and prioritize technology-enabled productivity and automation opportunities.
- Support digital process optimization and the adoption of appropriate performance-management tools.
- Strengthen data quality, measurement standards and business intelligence capabilities.
Capability Building & Knowledge Transfer
- Develop and implement a structured knowledge and skills transfer program.
- Mentor and coach Namibian leaders and operational teams in transformation and continuous improvement disciplines.
- Establish internal capability-building programs and practitioner development pathways.
- Build sustainable internal expertise to ensure that specialist methodologies remain embedded within the organisation.
- Maintain a clear localization and succession plan for specialist responsibilities.
Change Leadership & Embedding
- Lead the adoption and embedding of new systems, processes, methodologies and performance frameworks.
- Build stakeholder ownership and organizational readiness for transformation initiatives.
- Embed continuous improvement behaviours and management routines into the organizational culture.
- Track benefits realization and ensure improvements are sustained over time.
Strategic Partnership & Governance
- Advise the Managing Director and Executive Team on transformation priorities and best international practice.
- Partner closely with operational leadership to translate transformation solutions into executable plans.
- Develop appropriate standards, SOP frameworks and governance mechanisms for transformed processes.
- Measure implementation maturity, benefits realization and sustainability across the portfolio.
