PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The incumbent will ensure that all HVAC equipment is functioning optimally and meets safety and efficiency standards for Broll Namibia and properties under management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Grade 12
- N3 - National Trade Certificate in Airconditioning and Refrigeration
- 5 years’ experience as an HVAC Technician
- A valid code B driver license would be an advantage
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Undertakes the preventative maintenance schedule and ensures that all relevant properties under management is maintained in accordance with the schedule.
- Carry out maintenance checks on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems; clean evaporator drains pans, coils, and filters; lubricate fan and motor bearings; repair and change motors, electrical wiring, belts, compressors, thermostats, fans, floating elements.
- Install, troubleshoot, and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling and air conditioning systems.
- Start-up system and test for leaks using testing devices.
- Assemble and install air conditioning components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators, and compressors using hand and power tools.
- Repair and replace parts and components for air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Verify the functionality of air conditioning systems of tenants, resolving any operational issues promptly.
- Conduct routine security checks on machinery and tools.
- Champion the identification and reporting of hazards, evaluation or risks.
- Adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental Policies of the Company.
