PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:  

To inspect and test all raw materials according to the sampling plan, thereby ensuring that all incoming material is in adherence to the Namibia Dairies quality standards. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

•    4-year B.Sc. Food Science Degree 
•    Up to 3 years’ experience in a Quality environment 
•    Sound knowledge of ISO and Food Safety systems.

 

Preferred / Advantageous

•    Experience in food industry /FMCG environment 
 
KEY ACOUNTABILITIES:

•    Ensure that point of sale material is up to date, neat, clean and prominent. 
•    Conduct inspection and analysis on incoming materials as prescribed by the Sampling Plan and in accordance to specific work instructions.  
•    Review supplier Certificate of Analysis to verify that it is according to specification 
•    Keep record and file all Certificates of Analysis   
•    Source external verification methods of incoming material 
•    Identify and Isolate non-conforming materials and report all deviations and problems to the Quality Assurance Manager 
•    Ensure re-sampling of all out of specification incoming material and report to Quality Assurance Manager to authorise the release or destroying of product. 
•    Communicate out of specification results and retest results of incoming material to Suppliers, Warehouse Manager, Production Managers, Procurement Officer and Procurement Manager promptly. 
•    Register NCR for all non-conforming products and material on SAP and maintain records 
•    Compile graphs for all non-conforming  incoming material  
•    Capture non-conformances, inform suppliers and provide report to Procurement in support of the supplier evaluation 
•    Support the improvement of incoming material inspection by implementing quality processes and standards 
•    Seek supplier advice as required to ensure the total quality of incoming material 
•    Monitor and maintain FIFO process in the Warehouse by doing regular checks to prevent perishing of products 
•    Complete and keep record of Food Safety Check sheets and laboratory results 
•    Ensure that TIPO (weight control) of products are compiled when changes occurs
