PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

 

The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for identifying training needs, designing learning strategies, delivering programs and evaluating the effectiveness of learning and development initiatives across the O&L Leisure Group. The role supports employee growth and organisational capability through innovative, impactful and scalable learning solutions aligned to the company’s strategy.                                       

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or industrial/organizational psychology
  • 3–5 years of experience in Learning & Development or Talent Management
  • Valid driver’s license

 

Preferred/Advantageous:

 

  • Postgraduate qualification or certification in L&D, Talent Management, or OD
  • Instructional design certification
  • Experience in hospitality, tourism, or service industry
  • Exposure to change management, performance management, or leadership development

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Learning Design & Curriculum Development

  • Design and develop engaging learning programs (classroom, e-learning, and blended)
  • Support the development of accredited qualifications, skills programs, and short courses under the O&L Academy
  • Create learning materials, facilitator guides, assessments, and job aids

 

Facilitation & Program Delivery

  • Facilitate internal training workshops, soft skills programs, and onboarding sessions
  • Deliver both accredited and non-accredited training
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions across all business units

 

Learning Systems & Digital Transformation

  • Administer and manage the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Support the digitization of learning content and promote digital learning adoption

 

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Track and report on training effectiveness, learning metrics, and ROI
  • Submit quarterly reports and NTA claims, support L&D budgeting processes

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Partner with HC Practitioners, line managers, and subject matter experts
  • Liaise with external training vendors and accreditation bodies

 

L&D Projects & O&L Academy Support

  • Identify training needs and implement targeted development programs
  • Support talent pool development and manage study loan/assistance programs
  • Align all initiatives with the O&L Group’s L&D strategy
