PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To manage the stock levels of Namibia Dairies, by doing accurate forecasting, maintaining the material requirement data, doing accurate/ timeous reporting as well as maintaining work capital, in order to support manufacturing operations while considering their associated volumes, risks and internal customer requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
• Bachelors degree in Inventory Management / Supply Chain with 3 years’ experience in a Supply and Procurement Environment.
PREFERRED/ADVANTAGEOUS
• FMCG experience
• Experience in project management
KEY ACOUNTABILITIES:
• Inspect machinery and equipment before start-up and record results on production sheet.
• Monitor Namibia Dairies Supply Chain and customer interface process for stock movement.
• Monitor stock movements on SAP, based on demand, in line with production planning.
• Provide information to Manager Procurement on percentage share for items that have dual suppliers.
• Prepare and maintain MPR forecast spread sheet to achieve the agreed production levels and the company’s targeted inventory.
• Manage and drive processes to adjust stockholding, lead times and stock replenishment in accordance with seasonality (peak).
• Actively research product industry trends to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Update and maintain MPR planning parameter data.
• Liaise with Marketing and Sales departments project teams to ensure accurate stock management.
• Capture and update information about lead times, lot sizes and required safety stock into SAP/MRP Master Data.
• Investigate adjustments, scrapings and write-offs on SAP and follow it up with the relevant parties.
• Provide information to the Procurement Office around security of supply, vendor evaluation and advise Procurement officers during Supplier evaluation on the supplier’s capability to supply.
• Compile and submit monthly report on expiry dates of raw packaging material and Production plan verses Discrepancy report to Manager Procurement.
• Submit weekly stock days report to relevant project managers with regards to material stock holding status.
• Compare Production and procurement physical stock count sheets with SAP figures to ensure accurate reflection of stock on hand.
• Do monthly reporting and quarterly presentations to Head of Departments regarding stock holding based on MRP processes and procedures.
