PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

 

To provide strategic financial insights, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, performance reporting, and financial modelling to support business decision-making and ensure optimal financial performance across the organisation.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Minimum 3 year Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management Accounting.
  • 5–8 years experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
  • Strong modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills.

 

ADVANTAGEOUS

 

  • SAP/ARCH experience and/or retail background

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for assigned business units.
  • Build financial models to support scenario planning and risk assessment.
  • Analyse assumptions, flag risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Facilitate budget workshops with operational teams.

Management Reporting

  • Prepare daily, monthly, and strategic management reports.
  • Produce variance analysis and performance dashboards.
  • Compile BPR, BLR, KPIs and provide data‑driven insights for decision‑making.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy and compliance with group timelines.

Cost & Financial Analysis

  • Analyse cost drivers, productivity metrics, and profitability per product or segment.
  • Recommend cost‑optimisation initiatives.
  • Evaluate capital expenditure using ROI, NPV, and payback models.

Financial Controls & Compliance

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data used in management accounting.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Monitor adherence to financial policies, governance frameworks, and reporting standards.
  • Guide and advise on budgeting techniques and cost control processes.

Business Partnering & Strategy Support

  • Partner with operational leaders to interpret financial results.
  • Participate in feasibility studies, strategic projects, and business cases.
  • Promote financial literacy across departments.
