Purpose of the Position

 

Responsible for the designing and implementation of the marketing strategy for the various Hartlief brands and product portfolios. Responsibilities could include, monitoring and maintaining the quality of marketing, market research and project development activities to ensure a balanced and profitable brand portfolio strategy, locally, regionally and export, executed in categories based on relevant consumer research.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

  • A relevant 3-year Marketing Degree (or equivalent).
  • 8–10 years’ experience in the FMCG industry, with at least 5 years at a senior management level.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of the following: Brand management and equity; Digital marketing strategy and execution;  Market and consumer research.
  • Extensive project management leadership
  • Experience in a meat industry and exposure to the South African or other export markets will be an added advantage

 

Key Responsibilities & Outputs

 

  • Marketing Strategy & Portfolio Management: Co-develop and lead the implementation of Hartlief’s 2029 strategic marketing roadmap for Namibia, South Africa, and export markets.
  • Innovation Leadership: Drive customer-centric innovation strategies and oversee execution through industry-leading research and insights.
  • Project Management: Oversee marketing dashboards, lead high-impact marketing projects, and ensure timeous, insight-led execution.
  • Brand Management: Own brand positioning, sponsorships, trade marketing support, and performance audits across all channels.
  • Digital Marketing: Approve and oversee the execution of digital strategies and content management across platforms.
  • CSI and Sponsorships: Lead and coordinate Hartlief’s corporate social responsibility and sponsorship strategy.
  • Financial Oversight: Plan and control marketing budgets including innovation, media, sponsorships, and brand investments.
  • Reporting: Provide insightful and strategic monthly and ad-hoc reporting to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Lead, coach and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
