PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:    

 

To own, lead, direct and implement the organisational breakthrough strategy and operational plan for all O&L Leisure hotels and lodges including the execution, evaluation and controlling of such plans, contributing to the unique, unforgettable guest experiences. The position will oversee the operational management of all O&L property hotels and lodges as well as central office functions linked to operations.   

                                                 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Hospitality Management or Business Administration
  • 10 years’ experience in a Senior Management role at 4- or 5-star properties, of which 2 years must be on an executive level.
  • Operational management experience in managing a minimum of five properties.
  • Proven record of skills development on managerial levels.
  • International hotel management experience will be an added advantage.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  • Lead the formulation, execution, and evaluation of operational strategies in line with the group purpose, strategy, and the O&L Persona, as well as O&L Leisure vision.
  • Lead, drive the efficiency ratios in line with international benchmarks.
  • Ensure compliance to all quality and guest experience standards as defined for each property.
  • Ensure conformity/compliance to risk enterprise, security, occupational health and safety and environmental management system requirements.
  • Direct and Support new projects from an operational point of view, ensuring that the designs are functional and practical and that the design-cost relationship is efficient.
  • Develop and implement BCP (Business Continuity Plans) and ensure they are always kept relevant.
  • Lead and direct the skills development of key managerial positions.
  • Drive strategy by linking performance management to strategic goals and objectives, ensuring that all team members understand their role in achieving these targets.    
  • Drive the financial profitability of the organisation through various and effective initiatives
