PURPOSE OF THE POSITION  

Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the activities on the various sites to ensure that all buildings, grounds, and equipment are well maintained, property standards are met, and the wellbeing of tenants are upheld.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12
• Five years’ experience in facilities or property operations, with at least three years on supervisory level
• Proven ability to manage contractors, budgets, and people
• Working knowledge of ISO standards, health and safety, and building regulations
• Proficiency in MS Office and fault-management or reporting systems
• Valid driver's license

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensure facilities, equipment, and outsourced service providers within the assigned portfolio operate effectively, remain compliant, and are continuously improved.
• Deliver accurate, timely, and relevant reports that support management decision-making and meet client requirements.
• Oversee security operations, systems, procedures and service providers to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Ensure cleaning services meet agreed quality standards, contractual requirements, and budget provisions.
• Monitor waste services to ensure compliance, service quality, operational efficiency, and cost control.
• Coordinate and control parking operations in line with policies, procedures, and revenue management requirements.
• Monitor utilities consumption and expenditure to identify variances, improve efficiency, and support cost management.
• Maintain positive tenant relationships while ensuring adherence to lease agreements, house rules, statutory requirements, and approved fit-out standards.
• Ensure operational and maintenance expenditure is managed cost-effectively through efficient procurement, adherence to budgets and recovery of applicable costs.
