PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of site operations to ensure optimal maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment across assigned property portfolios. Uphold property standards and regulatory compliance while fostering a safe and supportive environment for tenants. Responsible for managing on-site teams, streamlining processes, and ensuring that all facilities operate efficiently and meet quality expectations.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Property Management, Construction Management, or a related field
- Ten years of related experience, with at least five years on supervisory level
- Knowledge of building systems (Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC)
- Familiarity with property regulations and maintenance standards
- Understanding of Health & Safety and Risk Management.
- Driving license code B
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct periodic inspections of facilities and assess problems to maintain building grade standards through effective maintenance plans.
- Oversee day-to day operations of Security, Cleaning, Parking Management, Waste Management, General Maintenance and external service providers.
- Maintain a hands-on control of internal property management related projects.
- Liaise with external stakeholders and appropriate local authorities on changes to regulations to ensure building compliance.
- Ensure cost effectiveness and performance of all service providers, through reviewing and negotiating quotes and service level agreements in conjunction with Line Manager.
- Assist with maintenance budgets for properties under management.
- Respond to emergency maintenance call outs and attend to tenant operational complaints.
- Conduct regular OHSA inspections ensuring that requirements are effectively implemented and reported monthly.
- Responsible to perform all ISO required maintenance checklists and review checklists of other team members.
- Identifies security threats and develop action plans for the prevention of incidents.
- Provide leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, delegation, and communication.
