PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Responsible for leading Hartlief’s end-to-end demand planning, ensuring accurate forecasts and alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Production. Manages a 12-month rolling forecast, supports S&OP and capacity planning, and drives data-based decisions to balance demand, inventory, and production efficiency in line with business goals and market trends.

 

KEY JOB OUTPUTS:

  • Collect and analyze historical sales, market trends, and business inputs to produce accurate short- and long-term forecasts for Namibia and export markets.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for demand planning, ensure accurate and timely updates in SAP, and continuously enhance system efficiency and forecasting accuracy.
  • Lead a collaborative forecasting framework involving Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and external partners to ensure alignment, transparency, and data integrity.
  • Actively contribute to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process with insights, reports, and recommendations to align supply and demand effectively.
  • Design and maintain demand planning dashboards and performance reports tracking forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and key metrics to support data-driven decisions.
  • Translate forecasts into production volumes, maintain a 12-month rolling forecast, and coordinate closely with Production, Procurement, Packaging, and Logistics to ensure operational alignment and responsiveness.
  • Lead daily and weekly planning meetings, monitor production plans, manage supply chain challenges, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Lead, coach, and support team members, promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and assist HR with initiatives to strengthen organizational capability and discipline.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Inventory Management, Statistics or Supply Chain Management
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Demand Planning for the FMCG industry of which 3 should have been at a leadership level within an operational environment.
  • SAP experience is essential.
